FLORENCE -- The University of North Alabama is ranked in the top spot for the third straight week in the all-important NCAA Division II Super Regional 2 rankings released Monday. The rankings, conducted by the Division II Football Committee, will ultimately determine which teams advance to the 2009 playoffs. The top six teams in the final regional rankings will earn playoff berths, with the top two teams in each region receiving first round byes. UNA leads the Super Regional 2 rankings with a 9-0 record, followed by Carson-Newman, Albany State, UNC Pembroke, Mars Hill and Morehouse. Benedict is ranked seventh, followed by Arkansas Tech, Wingate and Fort Valley State.
