MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - State troopers believe alcohol may have been a factor in a crash in North Madison County that killed one man and injured a second person.
Howard Lee Piner, 48, of Huntsville died in the crash Sunday night on U.S. Highway 231.
Piner's Toyota RAV 4 collided with a Ford Explorer that was eastbound on Monroe Road. Piner was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Ford Explorer, Joy Mora, was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
State troopers are continuing their investigation into this crash.
