Funeral for Madison Co. murder victim

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The funeral for Madison County murder victim George Woodward is being held even as investigators search for his killer.

The service for 49-year-old George Woodard, Jr. was set for noon Monday at the church in New Hope where he served as a Deacon.

Following the service at Hopewell Missionary Baptist church, Woodard will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery.

Someone shot and killed Woodard in the driveway to his home on Debbie Boulevard Wednesday morning September 30th.

Madison County Sheriff's Deputies have questioned several people as part of the ongoing investigation.
