Suspect arrested in Guntersville slaying

GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A Guntersville father has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his son Monday night.

Guntersville police responded to a call on Robert Circle around 9:30 p.m. When they arrived on scene, they said they found that Gregory Allen Samuels, 35, had been shot in the chest with a .22 caliber rifle.

The suspect in the slaying is Gregory's father, JC Franklin Samuels, 59.

Police said the father and son got into a domestic dispute that went too far. Investigators said  Gregory left to get more beer and when he returned, JC shot him in the chest.

Gregory had recently been in his father's house for a month. During that time police were called to the residence at least three times on domestic calls.
