HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Attorneys for a man accused in three separate shootings in Huntsville are asking for bond and a speedy trial.
Tavaras Fletcher is accused of shooting and killing Jerry Richard outside the Regions Bank on South Memorial Parkway in Huntsville last August. Fletcher is also charged in two other unrelated attempted murder cases.
He was arrested in September of 2008 and accused of trying to shoot someone, only to have the gun misfire. He's also accused of shooting a Huntsville gymnastics teacher during a robbery attempt in January. The victim in that case survived.
