Occupational tax ban dies in committee

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Valley state representative's bill to ban an occupational tax in Madison County died in committee during the special legislative session.

In a news release, state representative Randy Hinshaw say state senator Zeb Little refused to sign off on the bill.

The same proposal passed in the house of representatives by a margin of 66-0.

According to Rep. Hinshaw, there could be plans for an occupational tax in the city of Huntsville.
