Big Bluegrass Music in a Small Town Atmosphere

Set up under the shade trees in Rogersville Recreation Park, the 8th annual Bluegrass Festival offers some of the best bluegrass music in the south.  Along with live music, the two day event also includes arts and craft booths, children's activities, a shade tree band contest, and food vendors.  This year's event is set for July 17 - 18, 2009.

To kickoff the festivities, The Roy Sparks Band will perform on July 16, in downtown Rogersville along with a "Jammin in the Street" beginning at 6 p.m. 

Admission is free for Thursday's event.

Live entertainment will be provided by Dollar Mountain Bluegrass, Leipers Fork, Carefree Highway, Kudzu String Band, Stan Nelson and Hurricane Creek, Valley Road, Harmony Ridge, and Mile 5. Headlining this year's event is Marty Raybon and Full Circle with performance times at 2 pm and 9 pm. on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Shade Tree Band Contest is scheduled for 2:30 pm with a Buck Dancing Contest following at 5 pm.  All activities on Friday and Saturday will be held at Rogersville Recreation Park located at Lee Street and Wheeler Street (Alabama Highway 207).

Festival hours are Friday 4 to 10 pm and Saturday 9am to 10 pm

Admission on Friday is $8 per person and $10 person on Saturday.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.  Pets are not allowed in the festival area.
