MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Department of Corrections officials are looking for an inmate who escaped from a minimum security facility in Decatur, the second time he has turned fugitive in recent years.
Spokesman Brian Corbett said Monday that 24-year-old Jonathan Fulmer ran away from the Decatur Community Work Center on Friday.
Fulmer was serving time for robbery, burglary, receiving stolen property and for escaping from the Morgan County Jail in 2007.
Corbett said Fulmer was approved to work outside the facility but was not on a work detail when he escaped. He was discovered missing during a roster count.
Fulmer's next parole hearing is in January 2011 but he is not scheduled to complete his full sentence until January 2022.
