Daniel Wade Moore found not guilty in Decatur slaying

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - On Friday a Morgan County jury found Daniel Wade Moore not guilty on charges related to the slaying of Karen Tipton in March of 1999.

Moore was acquitted on four counts of capital murder and one lesser charge of non-capital intentional murder related to the death of Tipton, who was found slashed and stabbed to death in her home.

This was Moore's third trial for Tipton's death. He was convicted in his first trial, but that verdict was overturned on appeal. The second trial ended in mistrial.
