The hunt is on for the person who robbed a woman at gunpoint Monday morning.

It happened at the Fast Cash Check Advance on Highway 231/431 near Hazel Green.

WAFF 48's Robyn McGlohn has the story.

An upset victim talks with investigators after Monday's early morning robbery of the Fast Cash Check Advance on Highway 231/431.

Minutes later, a k-9 sniffed for leads; investigators talked to witnesses.

Ron Barrett is one of them.

"At first they were parked right here," Barrett said.

He noticed something a little unusual on his street.

"I was kind of suspicious of them, and like I told the police officer, I have seen things before.  I would get tag numbers, and this time I didn't do it."

But the clerk got a good look herself.

She told investigators he was waiting for the doors to open, wearing a baseball cap and dark sunglasses.

When asked to removed them, he pulled a gun and demanded cash.

Witnesses also gave officers a good description of the car. You're looking at where investigators feel the getaway car was parked. Only 30-40 yards from the Fast Cash Check Advance .

Their only escape route was Highway 231.

"That's just not normal, I mean right here in this are, the offender went that way being west, feel like they went to this vehicle and they left."

investigators say that vehicle may be light gray or silver in color and is a 4-door sedan.

Witnesses say a female was sitting in the passenger seat.

The suspect is described as approximately 6' to 6'3, and a white male wearing baggy white pants and a light grey hooded sweatshirt.
