Tips from the public helped Morgan County authorities locate Scott Leon Roden in Lafayette.
Roden was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.
He was convicted in 1998 of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl.
Roden's whereabouts were unknown for more than 2 years.
