74 year old Douglas R. McClinton of Huntsville was traveling down-hill, East-bound, on Cecil Ashburn Drive.
He hit the right guardrail, then crossed lanes and hit the left guardrail and flipped over the bank.
McClinton was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
McClinton was believed to be suffering from a medical condition at the time of the accident.
