The heat is on in the days ahead.  Near 100 degree temperatures are still looking likely by the weekend.

Rain chances will dry out although there's still a chance for a few showers and storms Thursday.  Temperatures will be in the upper 90s by Friday and stay there through the weekend.  A few spots could touch 100.

The heat barely backs off next week, but temperatures should slip back down into the mid 90s by midweek.  Some isolated showers and storms return as well.

Have a good night!

StormTracker 12 Chief Meteorologist Jeff Castle
