Feb. 13 0- Rips and runs could soon be a distant memory. A Japanese company has introduced spray-on silk stockings, the world's first underwear to come in an aerosol can.
The stockings were invented by a medical technician after women in his office complained about having to wear uncomfortably hot nylon stockings during the summer months.
The "air stockings", as they are called, were a huge hit when first introduced to the Japanese market last year. More than 1.2 million cans have already been sold.
The latest version of the stockings are waterproof and much sturdier, but still come right off with a little soap and water.
A can provides roughly 30 days worth of stockings, and costs around $28.
