Trang Do was born and raised in Philadelphia, where she grew up watching Peter Jennings and dreaming of becoming a broadcast journalist.
She attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B. A. in Communications and a minor in Spanish. Trang then went on to the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where she earned a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism.
As an undergraduate, an internship at CBS3 KYW-TV in Philadelphia and her involvement in the Asian American Journalists Association solidified her decision to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. At Medill, Trang reported, produced and anchored a weekly newsmagazine show for WYCC-TV in Chicago. She also served as the Washington D.C. correspondent for KTVQ-TV in Billings, MT and WHO-AM in Des Moines, IA. While in the nation's capital, Trang also spent a summer writing articles for The Herald-Sun in Durham, NC.
Upon graduation from Medill, Trang received the Harrington Award, the highest honor awarded to a master's journalism student. She was also inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha, the National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communication.
In her spare time, Trang loves to read, knit, spend time with family and friends, and of course, cheer on her beloved Philadelphia Eagles!
She's excited to be living and working in the Heart of the Valley!
