The case of a valley teacher may result in changes in the state's teacher tenure policy.
In April 2005, Laura Wilson was fired from her job as a teacher and cheerleading sponsor at Buckhorn High School...
But two years later, she's still being paid by the Madison County School Board.
Wilson is appealing her termination and continues to draw her $50,000 dollar salary.
A bill before state lawmakers would immediately remove teachers from the payroll once they've been fired...even if they're appealing their termination.
