A WAFF 48 INVESTIGATORS UPDATE

Hampton Cove teacher update

A Hampton Cove Middle School teacher is on paid leave tonight as officials look into allegations that he made inappropriate remarks to students.

WAFF 48 Investigator Georgi Bragg broke this story Friday and has been uncovering new details.

As many as three students now say their teacher made sexual comments, too graphic to mention in our reports.

We have chosen not to identify the teacher because he has not been charged.

School officials tell me they are looking into whether any policies have been violated.

They say if the accusations prove to be true, the teacher will be reprimanded for his actions.

In the meantime, as of today, that teacher is on paid administrative leave.

We're told Huntsville Police are involved, but at this point they don't have enough evidence to charge him.

Of course we'll stay on top of this developing story and bring you the very latest details as they become available.
