Mike Wing, former CEO of Space and Rocket Center, arrested

The CEO of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center between 1998 and 1999 is in trouble again.

Mike Wing faces federal charges of stealing more than $4,000,000 dollars through an investment scam in Texas.

Wing was arrested Monday in Tyler, Texas. He pled not guilty in federal court and remains behind bars.

Wing faces up to 20 years in prison on each of the 18 charges against him.

While head of the Space and Rocket Center, Wing incurred massive debt by borrowing money to bring 5th grade students to Space Camp.

Wing claimed he had corporate donations lined up, but that proved not to be true. He was fired in 1999.

Wing was supposed to pay the center $200,000 in restitution but defaulted on the agreement last year.
