An illegal immigrant from Mexico was caught carrying 18 pounds of marijuana in the bed of his pickup.
Francisco Mejia of Oneonta was pulled over by a Morgan County deputy for a traffic violation.
The deputy searched Mejia's truck and found the dope.
The marijuana was compressed into brick form, sealed in plastic and stored in a paper ream box.
Mejia faces a marijuana trafficking charge and several traffic citations.
