Judge Passes Sentence on DUI Death

Nov.10 - A valley man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.

In August, an Albertville jury found William Clay Whitt guilty of two counts of murder and one count of assault. He's charged with killing two teenage boys while driving drunk in 2000.

Tuesday afternoon, a judge sentenced Whitt to 25 years in prison on each count of murder and 10 years on the assault conviction.

Whitt is the first person in Marshall County to be convicted of murder in a DUI death trial.
