ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - Authorities made a large drug bust in Athens Friday.

Limestone County Sheriff's Department, Madison Police and Madison County Sheriff's Department searched 47-year-old Tracy Holt's house and property at 1309 Plato Jones Street for most of the day.

Drug agents found crack cocaine buried in the back yard along with more than $200,000 in mason jars. They dug up the yard to search for more evidence.

Officers initially searched the property with shovels, rakes and hoes, but after they discovered the mason jars buried in the yard, Limestone County District 4 Commissioner Bill Daws sent a track hoe to the scene.

Officers searched the back yard and used a ground penetrating radar to map areas of the yard that seemed to contain suspicious articles.

Holt was arrested and charged with four counts of distribution of controlled substances, one count of possession of controlled substances, and one count of possession of paraphernalia.

A baby was found at the scene, but the child was allowed to go with the mother.

Holt was released from Limestone County Jail on $46,000 bond.
