HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -Several airlines have raised ticket prices, because of the rising jet fuel prices.

Airlines like American Airlines, Delta, AirTran, have increased prices by $10 per round trip. Some increases are ranging up to $20 and more, depending on the length of the trip.

Cheap airline web sites like Farecompare.com average about a $60 increase on tickets since January. Companies like United are decreasing the number of flights, which means a city that has two flights a day, could now drop to one.

Frequent traveler Eddie Walker says,"If I were working and a younger person it would certainly affect how much travel I did and where I travel, when I travel," said frequent traveler Eddie Walker.

Jet fuel prices have risen more than 50% in the past year to more than $3 a gallon.
