HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The owner of a Huntsville adult toy store is trading adult toys for guns this Valentine's Day.
Sherri Williams, owner of Pleasures, said the "Guns for Toys" event is her contribution to making love, not war in Alabama where guns are legal and adult toys are not.
Customers can bring in a gun in any condition to trade for an adult toy. Williams says all guns that were used in a crime will be handed over to authorities while all others will be placed in an auction for sale on the store's website.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit victims of violent crimes through the ACVCC.
Owner and licensed gun dealer David Smith of Blue Steel Gun Works will be at the University Drive store from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on February 8th through the 15th to assess the value and condition of the guns.
Williams says her goal is to take 300 guns off the streets.
