HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - NBC will air a show Monday night where a cappella groups from across the country sing to win your vote.
Hundreds auditioned, but only ten groups made it through and one of those groups is from right here in the Rocket City.
This six-man a cappella group Committed is heading for the Sing-Off where you'll be seeing a lot of them in weeks to come.

"We sent in a video audition, we were accepted and we were on the show," said member Maurice Staple.
"We used to stay up late and practice, but this was more intense," he explained. "We knew we had to get it right because we know America is watching. It was tough, but we made it through."
Committed has been together for about two years. They got their start at Oakwood University, where they all went to school.
They sang at church, weddings and anywhere they could put on a show. Now, they're singing for millions of people on national television.
"This is a new realm for us," said member Terry Thomas. "We don't do R&B and pop, we do gospel."
The group didn't do much choreography until they landed a spot on the show, but they're hoping their moves and voices will win your vote to take them to the finals.
Committed is heading back to Los Angeles on Thursday to tape more episodes. In the meantime, you can catch them right here on WAFF 48 when the Sing-Off air Monday night at 7:00.
You can also listen to Committed and other groups on the Sing-Off on a new holiday CD they recorded. We're giving away a copy. You can learn more by visiting our Facebook page.
