BOAZ, AL (WAFF) - Two Boaz men were arrested and charged with a theft related offense.

25-year-old Stephen Aaron Jones and 37-year-old Kenneth James Bishop were both charged with one count of first degree manufacturing and first degree receiving stolen property. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says both charges are felonies.

Officials say the pair were at a home on Oakes Road in the Carlisle community. Sheriff's deputies were called to the house to investigate a possible stolen vehicle.

When deputies arrived on scene, neither Jones or Bishop could prove ownership of the 1997 Infinity Q-45. Both men gave deputies consent to search the vehicle.

They found a working meth lab was found in the trunk of the car.

Jones and Bishop are currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center. The Etowah County Drug Task Force also assisted in the investigation.
