HUNTSVILLE, AL -(WAFF) The Executive Women International of Huntsville is putting on "Swirls and Sips for Scholarships" August 26 at the Westin at Bridge Street Town Centre. It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The fundraiser is a wine tasting and silent auction that helps one high school student and one adult in transition go to college.
Organizers said the silent auction has a wide range of items up for bid.
"There will be everything there for the golf enthusiasts up to the person who loves to pamper their pet. I think we have a day at the spa for your pet. So we're very excited. We've received some really excellent gifts this year for the silent auction," said Vanessa Akins.
Tickets are $30 at the door. In advance, tickets cost $25 or $40 for a couple.
