ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Albertville Police arrested a man in connection with a case involving a missing Albertville woman.

Police believe Ray Christopher Shockley of East McKinney Avenue killed Tonya Turnmire in their home and dumped her body in Etowah County.

Turnmire disappeared earlier this month after leaving the Y-mart in Boaz, where she worked.

Police found Turnmire's body Saturday night after Shockley led them to it. He confessed to killing her.

Shockley was charged with murder and is being held in the city jail.

Turnmire's body was sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.

Shockley was taken before Judge Tim Riley Monday afternoon for his initial appearance.

His bond was set at $1million dollars.

He is expected to be transferred to the Marshall County Jail either late Monday afternoon or Tuesday.
