HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) – Parker Griffith received the unanimous endorsement of his Republican colleagues in the Alabama Congressional delegation Monday. The statement, signed by Congressmen Mike Rogers, Robert Aderholt, Spencer Bachus and Jo Bonner, cites Griffith's "true conservative voice" and his record of joining with them in opposing liberal legislation over the last year such as health care reform, the Stimulus, Cap and Trade legislation and the Obama budget.
Griffith was pleased with the endorsement, which comes from a group of conservative lawmakers who know his record in Washington and have been on the front lines with him fighting Obama and Pelosi's proposed cuts to the Constellation Program and national missile defense.
"I have been working side by side with my Alabama colleagues over the last year to protect the NASA and missile defense programs important to our nation and our region," said Griffith. "The support and endorsement of my conservative Republican colleagues in the delegation means a lot to me because they have seen first-hand how hard I've fought Nancy Pelosi's liberal agenda that will ruin our country if we don't stop it."
Griffith continued, "The support of my fellow conservatives and my strong relationships with them gives me greater strength to defend the projects vital to our community and our country, and stand for values that enable our children to grow up in the same prosperity that we have enjoyed."
