
TUCSCUMBIA, AL (WAFF) - Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan was found guilty of DUI.
Logan was arrested in January for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to Florence police, they arrested Logan after they received a call of an intoxicated driver.
Logan was taken to the Lauderdale County jail and was later released on bond.
Logan's lawyer, Tim Case of Muscle Shoals, said he's confident his client will not be convicted.
Case said his client was in his driveway when he was arrested.
Chief Logan was on administrative leave from the police department until recently.
Logan was sentenced to 90 days in jail. He must also complete a court referral program. Logan will have to may more than $1,000 in fines.
His license was suspended for 24 months.
Case said they are appealing the decision.
