HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - One person was killed after two vehicles collided near the Decatur river bridge Monday night.

About 5:15 p.m., Decatur police said that a red Ford Focus driven by Misty Vickery was traveling southbound on Highway 31 north of the causeway when the vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with a Toyota 4-Runner.

Vickery, 31, was taken to Decatur General, where she died a short time later. Police did not give details on the condition of the driver of the second car.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor at this time, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
