
MADISON, AL (WAFF) -At the request of the Madison Board of Education, the city council has drafted a resolution that allows Madison to hold a public hearing to get input from residents on an ad valorem tax increase.
The item's on Monday night's agenda.
The proposed eight mill increase will replace a recently voted on sales tax increase and help finance a second high school.
The public hearing's set for Monday, January 25th at 6 p.m. in the council chambers of the Madison Municipal Complex on Hughes Road.
