Several inches of rain fell across much of the Tennessee Valley last night and early this morning. The good news is the threat for rain has ended.

However, flooding problems will continue in some locations due to the large amount of rain that fell in such a short period of time.

A FLOOD WARNING continues until Thursday morning for the Flint River at Brownsboro and for the Paint Rock River near Woodville affecting Jackson, Madison and Marshall counties.

The Flint River has reached 19 feet and the flood stage is 17 feet.

The Paint Rock River has reached 11.1 feet and the flood stage is 16 feet.

The forecast is for this river to rise above flood stage by this evening and crest near 16 feet around midnight tomorrow. The river will then fall below flood stage on Thursday morning and continue to fall over the next few days. The next chance for rain will come on Friday.
