SARALAND, Ala. (AP) - Saraland police have charged a woman with murder in the death of her National Guardsman father.

The Mobile Press-Register reports that police say 31-year-old Lacy Elizabeth Embley Pope was charged Monday in the death of Anthony Embley Sr.

The 57-year-old Embley was found dead in the hallway of his home Oct. 21. His daughter was being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail on Tuesday. Bail had not been set.

Police have not disclosed how Embley died. The Alabama National Guard says he worked as a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic in Hope Hull, just south of Montgomery, and at Brookley Industrial Complex.
