HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - In the market for a home? A number of foreclosures are available, and real estate agents are hoping to sell them fast.

Last month home sales increased.

The market in Huntsville has been somewhat stable, and interest has peaked in the foreclosed sector.

There are about 47 foreclosed homes on the market just in the City of Huntsville and about 94 foreclosed properties including Madison County.

Realtors say there are good deals on foreclosed properties.

Right now, the goal is to get those homes off the market and into the hands of an interested buyer.

"A foreclosure, when it lingers, will bring down home values in the surrounding area. So the quicker we get those moved with a family or investor it's better for a community as a whole," said Bert Kilmer, realtor with Keller Williams Realty.

The Huntsville Foreclosure Express will be taking off December 5th.

It's a bus tour that takes interested buyers to roughly 7-10 foreclosed properties in Huntsville and Madison County.

A mortgage representative and a real estate attorney will also on board to answer questions.
