PHIL CAMPBELL, AL (WAFF) - Street sign vandalism leads to five arrests in Phil Campbell.
Police arrested four juveniles and an adult for damaging street signs Saturday night.
A total of six signs on four streets in the Franklin County city were affected.
The damage to the signs and the sign poles totaled approximately $250 according to Phil Campbell police.
Police hope the arrest sends a message about the seriousness of the sign vandalism and the impact it could have on emergency response times.
Police were to meet Monday about charges in this case.
