FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) – A domestic dispute where gunshots were fired ended with a Florence woman’s arrest early Friday morning.
Police arrested 43-year-old Cynthia Carol Vaden after being called to a home on South Orleans Street about reported shots fired.
Randy Hallmark claimed Vaden, his girlfriend, had tried to shoot him. Hallmark told police the sound of gunfire from his girlfriend’s bedroom woke him up as he slept on the couch and he said Vaden fired a shot in his direction as he went to investigate.
Investigators arrived and found evidence showing a .25 caliber handgun had been fired into a bedroom ceiling and into a hallway.
Police arrested Vaden on a charge of Attempted Assault 1st Degree.
Hallmark was not hurt.
