32 states come to an agreement with Vonage

Posted: Updated:

MONTGOMERY, AL (WAFF)- Alabama is one of 32 different states to settle a lawsuit with internet phone service provider Vonage.

The 3 million dollar settlement forces Vonage to change the way it does business, which means no more high pressure tactics for customers who want to cancel the service and clearer explanations for people considering signing up.

If you have a problem with Vonage, you have to file an official complaint for your piece of the settlement.
