MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- There was lots of excitement in Decatur as a teenager, who was injured in a boating accident in July, finally came home from the hospital.
16-year old Molly Moses lost her leg this past summer when it got caught in a boat propeller.
Friends, family, neighbors, and EMT's turned out Monday for Molly's homecoming.
"We are really glad she is home. We're all really happy she's ok," said fellow classmate Mary Gates McCamy.
Alex Smith added, "It makes me feel better now that she's at home."
Molly's arrival was by police and fire escort. The moment when she returned home was overwhelming for her and her family.
Her grandmother, Norma Williams said, "I'm just so happy and everyone has been so wonderful-- all the police and firemen and ambulance....I'm just so glad everyone loves Molly."
Molly thanked all the EMT's that helped saved her life.
In the crowd of people, she was especially glad to see her friend Rob, who she meet in the intensive care unit at the hospital. He had been injured in a car accident.
When asked about Molly's future plans, she said she is looking forward to being in her house, sleeping in her own bed, and spending time with her sister.
Molly's faith and strength in fighting for her life, loosing her leg, and overcoming so many obstacles have left her with a positive disposition. She said she's glad she won't be in the hospital for Thanksgiving and is looking forward to spending some quality time with her family.
