KINGSTON, Tenn. (AP) - The defense continues its presentation in the retrial of a Roane County man in the killing of a deputy sheriff and another man.
Whether Leon Houston would choose to testify in his own defense wasn't known Wednesday morning.
The Knoxville News Sentinel noted Houston did not testify at his first trial nor did his brother Rocky Joe Houston, who was tried separately.
The brothers are charged with fatally shooting Roane County Deputy Bill Jones and his ride-along friend Mike Brown in May 2006 at the Houstons' farmhouse.
Leon Houston's attorney claims self-defense for his client.
