GURLEY, AL (WAFF)- Madison County deputies are looking for a man who broke into a home overnight Wednesday.

Investigators said the man broke into a woman's home on Cherry Tree Road in Gurley just after midnight. They say he choked the woman, then stole money, prescription drugs, and keys to a relative's black Dodge truck.

Deputies said the woman was not seriously injured and called 911 after he left.

The truck was found about two miles away from the home. Investigators said it looked like the suspect lost control and crashed, then fled on foot.

A search team was brought out to look for the man. Deputies said they've added K-9's to their team and hope to find him soon.

If you know anything about this case, you're urged to call the Madison County Sheriff's Office, at (256)722-7181.
