NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A former executive producer of the Country Music Association awards TV show, Walter C. Miller, has been honored by the trade group.
He has received the Irving Waugh Award of Excellence for nearly four decades of working on the show.
The award is based on broadening country music's influence nationally and internationally. The award is named for the broadcast executive whose work increased country music on the TV networks.
This year's CMA awards show is Wednesday night.
