Posted: Updated:

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - There was a sentencing hearing Monday in the child porn case against a former North Alabama cop.

A judge sentenced Kent Preston Gilley to ten years and 5 months in Federal prison.

Gilley worked as a security officer at Chattanooga's Erlanger Hospital.

While there, he used a hospital computer to receive images of child porn.

Gilley worked as a patrol officer with the Henagar Police Department.

An incident report filed in August 2002, showed he was charged with inappropriately touching two girls.

Those charges were later dropped.
