NEW HOPE, AL (WAFF) - State grants totaling $500,000 will mean improvements in two north Alabama communities.
One grant for $250,000 will go to help build a new community center in New Hope. The grant money, along with money already put in place by the town, will go to build a 2,500 square foot facility across from New Hope's City Hall.
The second grant for $250,000 will go to replace deteriorating water lines in the Jackson County community of Dutton.
