Workers evacuate after Lincoln County courthouse threat

Posted: Updated:

FAYETTEVILLE, TN (WAFF) - Lincoln County sheriff's investigators told WAFF 48 News that the Lincoln County courthouse was reopened Monday afternoon after a bomb threat called in Monday morning.

After the threat was made, the courthouse and businesses around the square were evacuated, totaling around 250 people. Law enforcement also had incoming streets blocked from traffic.

The courthouse reopened a few hours later after emergency officials determined there was no danger to workers.
