ARDMORE, AL (WAFF) - Tennessee Lottery outlets along the Alabama state line are doing a booming business with the Powerball Jackpot now at $250 million.

People were lined up before 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Tennessee State Line Lottery outlet to get their Powerball tickets.

The owners told WAFF 48 News they expect a steady crowd throughout the day as people try to buy the winning lottery ticket.

The drawing for the winning ticket will be held Wednesday night. If no one wins, the jackpot could increase to $300 million for Saturday's drawing.

Powerball is played in Tennessee and 29 other states.
