Huntsville theft suspects fled traffic stop, crashed

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Huntsville Police have two supects in custody and are searching for three others after a wreck on Bob Wallace Avenue.

19 year old Jarqaius Robinson and 27 year old Deuntae Cowan have been arrested and charged with felony theft. The driver and a fourth suspect haven’t been caught yet.

Police say an officer tried to pull a car over on Memorial Parkway going north because it didn’t have a tag. The suspects fled the officer at a high speed, the officer chose not to pursue because of a safety concern.

A short time later police were notified that the vehicle had wrecked at the intersection of Bob Wallace and L and N Drive.

Police say the vehicle was stolen, inside they found stolen merchandise from a Huntsville Home Depot. Police have made contact with the vehicle’s owner and staff from Home Depot.
