Buckhorn High School student killed in 3-vehicle wreck in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Alabama State Troopers confirmed a Madison County teen was killed in a three-vehicle wreck on Tuesday afternoon.

18-year-old Jordan Ann Collier of New Market was killed when the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier she was driving was struck by a 1995 Jeep Cherokee before her vehicle finally collided with a 2003 Toyota Tundra.

It happened on Maysville Road at Deposit Road just before 5 p.m.

Collier was a cheerleader and active in ROTC at Buckhorn High School. She was also in the U.S. Army Reserve and a volunteer firefighter with the New Market Fire Department.

We were so saddened to learn of the death of one of our Buckhorn students last night. Our hearts are broken and our number one goal is to love and support this family during this difficult time.  We also want to support the Buckhorn family during this time.  We will have counselors available at the school for any student who might need to talk with someone about this loss.

There were no other injuries. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday, December 21 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 6 p.m.
