Shoals Salvation Army racing to make $150K goal before Christmas

FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) - The Shoals Salvation Army is in a race against time to make their 150-thousand-dollar goal to reach. Your generous donations will help people in need all year long.

Salvation Army leaders say they are still about $50,000 short.

They say by dropping just a few coins in any of the red kettles you can help them get a step closer to reaching their goal.

Shoals Salvation Army Capt. Benjamin Duel says your generosity can make a difference.

Red Kettle donations help their Feed the Hungry Program, Sheltering, Angel Tree Program, and helping people in crisis throughout the year.

There are more than 15 Red Kettle stands in the Shoats waiting for your donations.

Salvation Army leaders want to thank everyone who already donated.

They also say if you would like to donate a check you can drop it in the bucket or bring into their office
