LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Hundreds of Lauderdale County High School students are honoring faculty members by recognizing them through what they call 12 days of giving.
“The project is 12 days of giving and it’s where we identified 12 different groups who don’t get the recognition they should. We are talking to those groups and doing some nice things for them,” said Lauderdale County High School Assistant Principal Casey Tate.
Before the semester ends and every student rushes off to celebrate the holidays with family, Tate says his students want to spread some love this holiday season. Wednesday is their seventh day of giving. Students from the Future Farmers of America club recognized the maintenance department with a surprise breakfast.
“We have come today to feed them Chick-fil-A biscuits because it’s all about giving and we want to give to them," said student Jaydee Watkins.
Jaydee Watkins says the experience has been rewarding. She says there's a greater reward in giving than receiving.
