(WAFF) - The cloud cover will hold on tight through the rest of the day into tomorrow. Temperatures will dip through the night into the upper 30s and low 40s.
Our next weather maker will track in from the west and ignite some wet weather for tomorrow. A few showers will be possible across the area in the morning, but rain chances increase during the second half of the day. The rain will move from west to east, so town to the west of I-65 will likely be greeted by the rain first.
Showers will continue through Thursday night into Friday morning.
Soggy conditions look to linger into the early parts of the weekend. Most spots should see at least 3/4 of an inch of rain with some spots seeing much more than that through Saturday evening.
Wind will be gusty on Friday as well from the southeast at 10 to 25 mph.
